Kitome offers flexibility throughout the entire process, customers can bring their own plans and ideas for their home and work together with Kitome’s internal design service (ids) to custom-design their dream home.

For the featured project, the clients were looking to incorporate all their home ideas into one show-stopping design. not only did the design have to fit with the historical architecture of Windsor, nsW, but it also needed to have a veranda completely surrounding the house to take advantage of the incredible rural views from every side of the house.

Along with the extra wide veranda, the design includes a federation-style fac?ade, and sits next to the river, surrounded by lush greenery. From its initial conception, it was important that the house functioned well from an entertaining point of view, with an open-plan kitchen and living area, as well as bi-fold doors to bring the outside indoors. Comfort and easy maintenance were key considerations as the house is designed to operate as a guest house, so a large outdoor entertaining area was also a must.

In addition to these open-plan areas, each of the four bedrooms includes an ensuite for the convenience of guests. All three of the bedrooms upstairs open up onto the veranda, where guests can soak up panoramic views of the surrounding rural area. The house is effectively a Queenslander-style project, designed to withstand flooding with all living areas and all but one bedroom upstairs.

With display centres and sales agents in all eastern states, including Tasmania, Kitome also services all of Australia.

Project 1

With this spacious country home, designed by Kitome, the owners wanted a customised design to take full advantage of the block’s elevated position and north-facing aspect.

The home makes good use of the large block, incorporating four bedrooms and two palatial bathrooms. Large floor- to-ceiling windows around the home capitalise on the stunning views that encompass the house from every angle. The wooden deck that surrounds the house gives it an open feel, providing a raised viewpoint and extended shade for the whole perimeter of the structure, perfect for shielding the home in hot summer days.

The exposed wooden benchtop provides a feature point for the large kitchen, bringing the natural feel of the surrounding countryside indoors. This rustic style continues elsewhere, with the shabby chic white cabinetry providing a point of interest in the flawless bathroom.

The owners of this property chose Kitome after an extensive search for their perfect home. After deciding on the Harrington model from the Freedom series they were able to further customise the design to suit their needs and the block that the home was situated on.

After extensive consultations with Kitome, the owners were able to use their creativity to personalise the project in regards to the kitchen, laundry and bathroom fittings. These finishing touches are part of the flexibility that Kitome is renowned for, and the ability to include these special additions are what really makes a house a home. During the whole process of planning, negotiation and building their ideal home the owners were very happy with the service provided.
