Zenith Homes Australia Project 5

With a brief to construct a classic French-inspired home, Zenith Homes Australia and SR House of Design created this stunning abode, replete with formal living areas, an open-plan space, alfresco and five bedrooms – including an indulgent master suite. The level of detail found in this home proves that no corner, either internally or externally, was overlooked by the team.

The home sits on a lavish 1000-square-metre block; the land has been maximised to its full potential with comprehensive landscaping and a generous oxide concrete driveway. The topography of the site is perfect for the classically designed house, which is a sight to be seen and sure to capture the attention of passers-by with its detailed corbelling and linear façade.

Upon stepping through the ornate wrought iron front door, the WOODCUT engineered floorboards, high bulkhead ceilings and lofty void space provide instant delight. A unique wine cellar utilises the space beneath the grand staircase – an absolutely breathtaking feature that allows the homeowners to display their wine collection with the help of custom shelving illuminated by LED strip lighting and encased in clean, sleek glass.

The kitchen’s design is also rather unique, showcasing a galley-style layout with gorgeous marble benchtops either side, one of which is U-shaped to create an informal dining nook with bench seats and storage. The white and grey-blue joinery have a high-quality polyurethane finish, complementing the herringbone tile splashback and stylish tapware from The English Tapware Company.

An open-plan living area and formal dining room branch off from the kitchen. Much like the rest of the home, the living room displays impressive wall panelling, including a feature V-groove wall framed by a large shelving unit. Leading off the other side of the kitchen, the formal dining room serves as a semi-private space for an intimate number of guests. Expansive black aluminium windows contrast with the white walls and fill the room with natural light.

French doors in the dining room lead out to the spacious alfresco, which can accommodate a large number of guests and can be enjoyed through the indoor-outdoor connection between the internal living spaces. Wooden bench seats border a firepit, perfect for long nights spent with family and friends.

On the second storey, an opulent master suite offers a wealth of luxury. The bedroom is open and light, connecting to a balcony that can be enjoyed exclusively by the homeowners. A full dressing room replete with open shelving, built-in robes, a central bench and window seats can be accessed through the French doors. In true luxury style, Zenith Homes Australia has added a chandelier. The en suite is full of smooth marble and high-quality inclusions to match the rest of the home’s affluent aesthetic.
