For this project, the client wanted something that was modern and on-trend. After weeks of consultation with Cavalier Homes, together they decided that they would create the wow-factor with strategic use of colour and contrast. The project stands out for its use of different materials, textures and colours to create a definite point of difference between the two dwellings at this duplex.

The building process posed many challenges. With many different levels involved, the earthmoving trades needed to be spot on with the initial groundwork. The concreter also had a massive job ensuring a precise slab for a perfect foundation for the rest of the home. The site also required extensive retaining, which was completed at the same time as the slab to ensure the work site remained safe and tidy throughout the build.

Working alongside Joanne Hands and Elk Designs, Cavalier Homes successfully delivered on the client’s desire for a home that is different and stands out while adhering to a strict budget. The custom design maintains functionality and maximises floor space. The home perfectly balances a sleek, modern aesthetic while maintaining a warm and inviting feel.
