THE GRAND ENTERTAINER

Nestled in gorgeous MacMasters Beach, this masterpiece by JEH Constructions is built on a block that is classified as a flood zone. The team faced the challenge of elevating the house off the ground to meet the flood zone requirements, achieved by bringing in soil and designing the house in a way that works with the raised floor levels. The result is breathtaking, exuding a sense of grandeur as you approach the house and the front deck with steps leading up into the home.

The client desired a Hamptons-inspired coastal home that feels both warm and inviting, with a strong focus on enabling them to entertain their large family. JEH Constructions set about achieving this dream with the wide deck at the front that creates the perfect space for entertainment, with a raked ceiling that offers protection from the elements while keeping the area spacious and open. JEH Constructions also incorporated one large room in the loft to be used as a guest space for all of the grandkids. Careful consideration was taken in designing the layout of the home, with the kitchen flowing into the living room that boasts a beautiful fireplace in the centre.

Situated close to the water, external paints and COLORBOND ultra roof sheeting were used for their durability and resistance to corrosion and salt damage. Natural materials and products were used throughout the home to create the ultimate coastal aesthetic, including natural stone from the local quarry and hardwood flooring. Large glass doors allow natural light to flood the interior, creating a sense of warmth and openness.
