ELEGANCE WITH INTENTION

This French Provincial style home masterfully blends classical elegance with modern functionality. The client’s brief called for a timeless, symmetrical design that enhanced the local character while offering a sense of luxury and spaciousness without feeling cold or clinical. The result is a refined, oversized residence that maintains warmth and charm throughout.

Designed with passive solar principles, living spaces are oriented to the north to maximise natural light, while service areas are positioned to the south. Key areas such as the kitchen, living and dining rooms flow effortlessly into the alfresco entertaining space and pool, encouraging an indoor-outdoor lifestyle. Externally, the home features cement render, wrought iron accents, framed windows and a slate-style roof. Internally, a grand curved staircase, hardwood timber floors, shaker-style cabinetry and coffered ceilings embody the French Provincial style with sophistication. Situated within a heritage conservation area, the design overcame planning challenges by respecting the streetscape without replicating historical architecture to avoid being confused with local heritage sites. Sustainability features include double glazing, high insulation and efficient solar and water systems, achieving a seven-star energy rating. Every element of this home was carefully considered to create a space that is not only elegant but enduring and environmentally conscious.
