This property not only fits perfectly into the existing streetscape, but also reflects a modern design that is synonymous with the quality of Horizon Homes. For this project, the team at Horizon Homes worked closely with the client to create a beautiful home that is modern but also has a traditional feel. With four bedrooms plus a study, a spacious kitchen and living area, ample storage space, as well as a pool and alfresco, this home suits the needs of a growing family. The pool is positioned so that it is a permanent feature when looking out from the living area, allowing parents to keep an eye out while children play. As the site is on a narrow block, Horizon Homes made sure every aspect of the design utilised the space as best it could. The main bedroom, with a spacious en suite, captures stunning views of the golf course.

While the home is modern in its design, it is imbued with a traditional aesthetic in order to fit in beautifully with the surrounding streetscape. The kitchen and living areas are filled with natural light throughout the day to create a bright communal space that acts as the hub of the home. Horizon Homes has implemented various design features to ensure the home is energy-efficient for the clients. For example, the house is oriented to take advantage of the northerly sun throughout the day, with wide roof eaves to shade the windows so that air-conditioning is rarely required. Louvered windows in strategic locations also take advantage of the evening southerly breeze. Foil board insulation in all wall cavities deflects heat gain in summer and heat loss in winter, while ceiling fans in all living areas and bedrooms ensure maximum comfort for the homeowners. Moving outdoors, the landscaping is lush and requires minimal maintenance. Each plant has been carefully selected to complement the location of the home.
