Against the Grain Building & Renovating

Against the Grain manufactured all custom timber windows and doors for this project. Existing heritage profiles and mouldings were matched exactly on the entrance door, double-hung windows with colonial bars, and double gunstock stile entry doors with hinged transoms above. Each unit was constructed from New Guinea rosewood using traditional techniques including putty glaze. Upgrades such as underfloor heating in the bathrooms and double glazing on all windows and doors
improve comfort and energy efficiency.
