Working closely with designer Paul Marano from Definitive Drafting, the team met the client’s brief by separating the house into three levels; the cost-effective solution maximises the available space on the sloping block, and allows for uninterrupted countryside views on each floor, as well as generous living areas.

Featuring a contrasting colour scheme and elegant design concepts which create the illusion of a single-storey build, the façade has a pleasing street presence. Showcasing a variety of materials, including Weathertex cladding, bricks from Austral Bricks, COLORBOND roofing, render, Dulux paint, and a cedar garage door by Doorworks, the frontage offers an eclectic appeal.

Comprising an open-plan layout, the central hub is characterised by clean lines and chic elements. The two-toned kitchen cabinetry contrast beautifully with the earthy tones of the space, while the custom brick feature wall with an embedded fireplace is a contemporary and stylish addition. With a seamless flow between the indoors and outdoors, the alfresco and pool zone are easily accessible and perfect for entertaining.

Raked ceilings on the second level create a sense of grandeur, and pendant lights provide elegance and optimum illumination. Beaumont tiles can be found in all the wet areas for visual continuity.

The environmentally-friendly abode features a flat roof with solar panels designed to capture the northern sun, as well as LED downlights, and five-star-rated Harvey Norman fixtures and fittings, which meet Building Sustainability Index (BASIX) regulations.
