Avenue One has delivered excellence in home design and architecture again with this beautiful modern extension to a Californian bungalow. Adding an extra two bedrooms to the original three-bedroom home, the extension has been cleverly placed at the rear to appear almost invisible from the street, creating a contemporary surprise for homeowners and guests alike.

Not only does the new extension blend seamlessly with the original older home, but it also blends with the surrounding natural landscape, with the help of off-form concrete, natural hardwood timbers and blackened steel on the exterior, which all complement the neutral tones and greenery in the accompanying landscaping. The clean, straight lines and smooth structures exude an awe-inspiring minimalist style.

The extension includes an indoor-outdoor living area per the homeowner’s request. Avenue One employed large pivot doors in the design to achieve this integrated concept. Full advantage has been taken of the home’s northern aspect through large windows and skylights.
