This modern industrial home, dubbed ‘The Morley Project’, was designed by JMA Architects and achieved by the expert team at Edgecliff Homes. Showcasing excellent design, precision and astute attention to detail, the home exudes clean lines, minimalist colours and strong finishes while maintaining a smooth interweaving of the indoor and outdoor spaces.

Enormous focus was placed on the outside area of the home that displays beautiful landscaping elements and a selection of native flora – such as grass trees and bottle trees – which surrounds the property. Huge glass windows connect the home with the greenery and soften the interior concrete aesthetic, while also offering a spectacular view of the pool, which features glow- in=the-dark tiles and an outdoor shower.

To run this technologically advanced home, solar panels feature prominently on the roof, and eco-friendly products like Weathertex were used throughout the build to maximise sustainability at every turn. Continual levels have been maintained inside and out to champion the flow between the home’s functional spaces. A large basement was built on the natural run of the land to, giving this magnificent property ample space for a theatre, gym and gorgeous mountain range views.

With a build this grand, Edgecliff Homes created a series titled ‘The Morley Project’ on its social media channels to showcase the work in progress, feature behind the scenes content and offer tips and tricks for all things construction.

Completing this outstanding project didn’t come without challenges, and material shortages, industry shutdowns and skyrocketing building costs were just a few obstacles that Edgecliff Homes had to overcome to complete this ambitious build during COVID-19. However, Edgecliff Homes remained proactive and vigilant, bringing this luxurious dream to life and pushing through every complication to ensure its client’s expectations and the project’s tight deadlines were met.
