Gremmo Homes Project 12
This contemporary home by Gremmo Homes seamlessly blends with its bushland setting. The facade of the home is streamline in its design, with clever use of linear cladding which provides visual elongation to emphasise the home’s impressive size. The external walls of the home are finished in a warm white, creating a bright and airy feel while natural stone and timber cladding soften some of the more clinical elements of the facade.
A tall blade wall finished in organic sandstone provides an impressive feature at the entrance that creates another layer of textural interest. This striking vertical element is also a clever counterpoint to the strong linear elements of the facade. The front door is finished in a charcoal, surrounded by abundant glazing which bathes the entry area in natural light.
An impressive open-plan living, dining and kitchen also teems with natural light provided by the wall of floor-to-ceiling windows. A captivating, curved feature wall finished in sleek battens invites you into this living space, emphasising the amalgamation of linear elements and curves that are featured externally. A double-sided fireplace creates a visual connection between the entry and heart of the home.
The modern kitchen boasts satin white cabinetry accented with Boston Oak timber features. A striking black linear pendant light connects visually with the other darker highlights throughout the space, adding to the cohesive design. Calacatta porcelain has been utilised on the kitchen benchtop and splashback, its rich veining providing a stunning focal point. An undermount Oliveri sink seamlessly blends with the benchtop to maintain a clean and sophisticated aesthetic. The adjacent pantry provides a practical working area for the kitchen.
The master wing features a spacious bedroom, en suite, walk-in wardrobe and a private patio. A panelled half-height wall adds texture to the room while wall lights provide softer mood lighting. The walk-in robe design is both classic and elegant, featuring crisp white cabinetry that is accented with pops of Polytec Boston Oak veneer.
An interplay of textures unfolds in the master en suite. The timeless elegance of Calacatta porcelain tiles provides the backdrop for the double vanity which features round basins and mirrors that reiterate the curved details that flow throughout the home. Brass tapware adds a sophisticated touch, while the room is bathed in natural light from the custom skylight located above the double shower.
The rear wing of the home boasts a versatile rumpus room, with a plush carpet inlay. Vertical battens add texture and interest to the built-in joinery, which cleverly incorporates a cozy window seat overlooking the central courtyard. A hallway leads to the bedrooms of the home and a practically designed three-way bathroom. The guest room has been strategically placed to allow for multi-generational living with its en suite and adjacent TV room. Provisions for a future kitchen, including appliance and water connections provide the flexibility for a self-contained guest suite or additional living space in the future.
The outdoor kitchen and alfresco acts as an extension of the internal living areas of the home. The barbeque takes centre stage alongside a beer fridge while overhead ceiling fans cool the space during Sydney’s warm summer evenings and the built-in fireplace ensures use in the cooler months. The alfresco looks over the stunning pool, offering a picturesque backdrop to the leafy scene beyond.
This fusion of modern contemporary design located in a bushland setting ensures that this home is a true statement piece, a luxurious sanctuary to sit back and enjoy the leafy surrounds.
