CLEAN LINES AND A COSY COTTAGE

The client’s vision was to create a home with clean, modern lines, generous storage and a clear separation between the living and sleeping areas. At the same time, it was important to preserve the character of the original cottage so it could sit comfortably alongside the new addition.

HXD delivered with Cemintel Barestone external cladding and AWS windows and doors, creating a durable and refined exterior. The high-end custom joinery maximises the available storage throughout the home while maintaining a clean and considered finish.

Sustainability was also an important part of the brief. The home incorporates solar panels with battery storage, alongside an electric heat pump system, allowing the home to operate efficiently while moving away from reliance on gas. For HXD, projects like this represent what the team value most: thoughtful construction that respects the character of the original home while delivering a modern, efficient and well-built result for years to come
