At first glance, the exterior of this home could be mistaken for a piece of contemporary surface art, projecting a clean, modern aesthetic.

Yet one of the home’s most considered design elements might go unnoticed. If you look closely, the garage door is architecturally resolved into the façade.

This was not a coincidence. It was intentional. Garage doors often risk juxtaposing a home’s exterior with the visual bulk typically associated with them, something RAC Garage Doors’ client wanted to avoid.

Clearly understanding the brief, the team installed a custom Flush Mount garage door system perfectly integrating into the home’s external cladding.

Using Deco Batten in Curly Birch, with precisely spaced 25 x 50mm highly recyclable aluminium battens set at 25mm intervals, the garage door continues the home’s refined uninterrupted lines while complementing the material palette.

Although aluminium based, the finish offers the warm texture of natural timber without the ongoing maintenance that real timber demands, especially in costal environments. Achieving this seamless look came down to a meticulous attention to detail.
