The Winning Paradigma
Combining sleek style and luxurious practicality, Schweigen is excited to share a great win for its elegant, contemporary Paradigma rangehood design at the 2020 Good Design Week.
Celebrating the best new products on the Australian design market, the annual Good Design Week is held in the first week of September and concludes with the announcement of the Good Design Award recipients. Setting a new standard for luxury and innovation, Schweigen’s Paradigma rangehood was awarded the winning accolade for Product Design & Innovation in the Domestic Appliances category at this year’s awards.
Thanks to its German-engineered silent Isodrive® motor, this rangehood delivers powerful yet silent extraction, features integrated lighting and uses three times less energy than a standard rangehood. The Paradigma system is available in a range of flexible configurations and can be integrated into any modern kitchen design.
The Good Design Awards jury praised Schweigen’s silent Paradigma rangehood: “The exterior mounting of the fan and motor coupled with ceiling mounting of [the] extraction unit enable a silent and unobstructed experience … the silent extraction and integrated lighting make this a winning design.”
Dating back to 1958, the Good Design Awards is Australia’s oldest international awards for design and innovation. This year saw a record number of entrants and 835 design projects were submitted and evaluated by the jury, making the Paradigma rangehood’s win sensational news for the team at Schweigen.
